Well, I guess I lied. I waited entirely too long to upgrade to a new forum, and the merge system of myBB is too much for me to deal with at the moment. So for now I've saved all those posts as pdfs and attached them here. I was hoping to save the links, but I checked a number of them, and they are mostly dead at this point anyway. It's been five years. The web is dynamic.
